H2H Challenge February Week 3 & a Raisin Boat birthday card for fun!!

I'm back to post an H2H Challenge card for this week...pretty easy being that the only requirement was to have a card with a heart on it! Since I have a huge stack of lovey cards stockpiled, I just picked one out that I'd already made. Not too much to this one...pretty simple. I made it with Operation Write Home in mind, and I like to keep cards for them pretty flat, without all my usual bulky embellishments! Those kind aren't very practical to ship overseas. So, I think this one qualifies for the challenge, even though it has only one tiny heart on it...I think there's a BIG implied heart! ;)

Supplies used:

Cardstock: Stamper's Select White (PTI); Hollyhock (CTMH)
Patterned Paper: Valentine paper pad (Martha Stewart Crafts)
Stamp Set(s): Priceless Love Word Puzzle (CTMH)
Ink: Tulip (CTMH)
Embellishments: Hollyhock ric rac ribbon (CTMH); Flower eyelets (?)

I also have another card for today. I have just gone a little nuts with stocking up on some gorgeous Valentine papers from different companies because I loved it so much and I know that it will shortly (if not already) be gone forever...

However, I also recently signed up with a stamp rental company (yep, you read that right) called Raisin Boat. They have very cute little stamp sets, and for $7.99 a month, which includes shipping ($5.99 for the first 2 months), you can have 2 stamp sets out at a time. They have hundreds of sets available, tons of cute ones that I'd normally think were fun but not buy because I thought I wouldn't use them enough. This way you get to try them first (no time limit) and then you can send them back or buy them if you decide they're indispensable. You put your desired sets in a queue (like Netflix) and they send them to you in that order! I was hooked. I can never get tired of trying new stamp sets!

All this is to say that I made a card with one of their stamp sets that I received recently. I'm kind of a freak for cute foodie type stamps, and this set grabbed me immediately, called "Guilty Pleasures". Even though I will definitely be making more love cards with my new papers, I wanted to also move on to birthday cards. I thought of a fun idea of how to use this stamp set for a birthday card. (Even though this card doesn't actually say Happy Birthday anywhere on it, it's implied) I'm liking the way it turned out. All of the stamps on this card, sentiments and images are from this set except for the "It's a Celebration" sentiment, which is from Papertrey.
